Ethan returned to his home state of Virginia and joined WAVY-TV 10/FOX43 in March 2025. He began his career in the news industry on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, starting as an MMJ/reporter and eventually becoming a morning show news anchor at WXXV News 25.
During his time on the Gulf Coast, Ethan covered many topics, from the adjournment of legislature in the state capitol of Jackson to a once-in-a-generation snowstorm that hit the Gulf Coast in January of 2025 to live coverage of the Super Bowl in New Orleans.
Ethan graduated from West Virginia University (let’s go Mountaineers) in 2023 with a degree in sports and adventure media. During his time as a mountaineer, he worked game cameras/utility for WVU athletics, was a play-by-play/color commentator for the WVU Hockey teams, and was an anchor/reporter for the sports magazine show Mountaineer Playbook.
With his background in sports, Ethan is also the director of media and marketing for the semi-pro Richmond-based soccer club Grove United. Ethan started at Grove as a media intern in July of 2022, working with the team and its players to produce content for the club’s social media pages.
In his free time, Ethan enjoys hiking, fishing, going to the gym, making music, and working on videography projects through his company Eyepatternmedia. Ethan’s most recent big project was a documentary film following a non-profit group on a mission trip to Honduras titled Water for the People.
