CHESAPEAKE, Va.(WAVY) — No one was injured early Thursday morning in fire at a electric motor repair company in Chesapeake.
Officials with the Chesapeake Fire Departments said crews were called to Electric Motor and Contracting Co, Inc., in the Cavalier Industrial Park, around 4:30 a.m.
A passerby noticed smoke and called for help.
Officials said firefighters declared the fire under control at 5:20 a.m., and out at 6:05 a.m. The fire was contained to the room in which it started.

No one was inside and no one was hurt, and officials said the company resumed normal operations.
Officials said the fire was under investigation.
