NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A Norfolk man was arrested on Thursday for a multiple commercial robberies in the Wards Corner area. 

Norfolk police said via Twitter 39-year-old Omar Brinson was taken into custody after he allegedly robbed a Wells Fargo bank on Granby Street Thursday morning. 

The bank robbery took place around 9 a.m. Police say there were no injuries from the incident. 

Police have not specifically said what other robberies Brinson is related to. He has been charged with several counts of robbery, use of a firearm and unlawful wearing of a mask. 

Brinson is being held in the Norfolk City Jail without bail.
