NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — The Southeastern Virginia Health System (SEVHS) will hold a free community food distribution event in Newport News on Saturday.

Distributions take place at 48th Street Physicians, located at 4717 Marshall Avenue, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event will operate as both a drive-thru and walk-up distribution.

The aim is to promote overall wellness throughout Southeastern Virginia.

Attendees do not have to be residents of Newport News to attend the event. No appointment or eligibility requirements are necessary either.
