NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A motorcyclist was seriously injured following a single-vehicle crash in Norfolk Saturday.

Police said the crash happened around 7 p.m. in the 400 block of Campostella Road.

The driver, a 63-year-old woman, was driving southbound on Campostella Bridge when she lost control and hit a median after crossing the intersection of Campostella Road and Filmore Street.

Norfolk Fire-Rescue transported the woman to Norfolk General Hospital, where she remains in critical condition. 

Police said speed does not appear to be a factor in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
