VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A man wanted for a series of armed robberies of grocery stores in the area has surrendered to authorities.

A spokesperson for the FBI confirmed to 10 On Your Side that 22-year-old Devonta Le Edward Doyle turned himself in to Virginia Beach police Tuesday evening.

He and 19-year-old Darrius Anthony Heuser-Whitaker were wanted by authorities for their alleged role in a string of robberies in Chesapeake and Virginia Beach.

Doyle is the fifth suspect in custody in the case. Three other suspects were arrested in early October: Keonte Yorkshire, Cato Battle and Brennan Smith.
