PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – The Super Doppler 10 team of meteorologists said a coastal storm, known as a nor’easter, would bring some of the worst tidal flooding the Hampton Roads area has ever seen on Sunday.

And the pictures tell the story.

WAVY 10 viewers sent in photos of the widespread flooding.

Our WAVY-TV 10 team also spotted areas of significant flooding, mostly in Norfolk and Virginia Beach.

WAVY TV 10 also spoke with the executive director of Wetlands Watch Mary Carson-Stiff, who was in Norfolk for Catch the King 2025.
