VIRGNIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – The countdown is on for the 41st Annual Cape Henry Oyster Crush in Virginia Beach.
This annual event raises money for charities across Hampton Roads and is put on every year by the Cape Henry Rotary Club. Since 2015, this event has raised nearly $400,000 for local organizations. Those groups include EquiKids, Hospice House of Hampton Roads, Mutts With a Mission, Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia and Youth Volunteer Corps Hampton Roads.
Tickets get you all-you-can eat chicken, BBQ, clams and of course, oysters. There’s also beer and the famous Orange Crush drinks available. Several local bands will also be on site, providing plenty of entertainment.
Its all happening Sunday, Oct. 12 from 1-5 p.m. at Ballyhoos Restaurant, located at 2865 Lynnhaven Drive. The Oyster Crush is rain or shine. You can even bring your own chair and hang out with friends.
