NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A teenager is hurt after being shot in Norfolk Monday night.
According to dispatch, a 17-year-old boy walked into Sentara Leigh Hospital at 9:35 p.m. with a gunshot wound to the hand. Police say his injuries are considered non-life-threatening.
After investigating, it was revealed the shooting took place at 880 N. Military Hwy.
As a result, police arrested 34-year-old Kolawole R. Ayeni of Chesapeake. He faces the following charges.
- Malicious wounding
- Four counts of attempted malicious wounding
- Use of a firearm
Ayeni is currently being held without bond in Norfolk City Jail.
