CHESTER, Va. (WAVY) – The Chester Library will host ImmerseCon and their free pop-up arcade Saturday, Aug. 16. The event will be 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and feature a variety of activities for all ages, including:
- Gaming Stations: Access high-performance gaming, Nintendo Wii, Xbox One, and retro arcade consoles loaded with over 2,000 games.
- High Score Challenge: Test your skills in an NES Speedrun championship. Top scores win prizes, available while supplies last.
- Complimentary Pizza: Enjoy free pizza, available while supplies last.
- Free STEM Kits: Pick up an educational take-home STEM kit for all ages. Limited supply available.
ImmerseCon is designed to inspire the future generation about opportunities within STEM fields, interactive experiences, and video gaming.
They will host a two-day event at the Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa in Short Pump as a celebration of video games, STEM, and geek culture Aug. 30-31.
