VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Shortly before 8 p.m. Wednesday, WAVY started hearing about a crash in the Town Center area of Virginia Beach.
WAVY’s Aesia Toliver was on scene later in the evening as crews were towing away a vehicle involved in the crash. Video shows the crash happened along the 4000 block of Virginia Beach Boulevard, near Pembroke Square. The scene was surrounded by police tape.
Virginia Beach Police confirmed on Thursday that they responded to the intersection of Virginia Beach Blvd. and Market St. around 7:45 p.m. for the crash.
A witness told WAVY they saw several people removed from the vehicles involved in the crash and that there appeared to be injuries.
VBPD said two patients were taken to the hospital and that one had serious injuries.

Traffic was blocked for at least an hour while crews worked to clear the scene.
