NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The Virginia Department of Transportation is set to implement temporary closure of the East Little Creek Road on-ramp to I-64 east in Norfolk.
Beginning Friday at 11 p.m., contractor crews will perform necessary ramp maintenance through Monday, July 28 at 5 a.m.
During the weekend closure, a signed detour will be in place to direct traffic as follows:
- Drivers traveling westbound on East Little Creek Road will be directed to Granby Street, East Admiral Taussig Boulevard, returning to East Little Creek Road to Tidewater Drive and Thole Street to access the on-ramp to I-64 east.
- Drivers traveling eastbound on East Little Creek Road will be directed to continue on East Little Creek Road to Tidewater Drive and Thole Street to access the on-ramp to I-64 east.
The on-ramp closure is part of the first phase of construction for the Hampton Roads Express Lanes Norfolk Segment.
All work is weather-dependent, therefore the schedule is subject to change.
