NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A man was hurt after a stabbing on Galt Street Monday night.

According to officials, just before 8 p.m., first responders were dispatched to the 1000 block of Galt Street for reports of a stabbing victim. This is near Tidewater Drive and Church Street.

Upon arrival to the scene, officers found a man suffering from non-life-threatening lacerations. The victim was then transferred to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital to be treated for his injuries.

The incident remains under investigation and no suspect information has been released at this time.
