NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Federal agents took a woman into custody this week whom they believe has information about a 2022 double homicide in Newport News.

On June 15, 2022, two 7-Eleven employees were killed during a robbery at the store in the 1400 block of Kiln Creek Parkway. Their killer was never identified, and the case went cold.

On Wednesday, Zoey Chandler was arrested for disobeying a court order related to the case.

Investigators believe she has “pertinent information” about the murder and robbery, according to court documents.

Chandler was subpoenaed to appear before a grand jury in March but didn’t show. On Friday, she appeared in federal court, where a judge granted her bond. She’s expected to be released on Monday.
