PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — Detectives with the Portsmouth Police Department’s Major Crime Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating two suspects in connection with homicides on Elm Avenue on Wednesday.
On June 18, police responded to a call for a shooting in the 2100 block of Elm Avenue around 5:18 p.m. Upon arrival, they located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
The first victim, later identified as 39-year-old Omar Tyron Evans, died on the scene. The second victim, later identified as 43-year-old Alice Otealia Watson, was taken to a local hospital where she later died.
Detectives seek to identify and locate two suspects captured in surveillance footage.
The first suspect is a man who was seen wearing black zip-up hoodie, gray joggers, black shoes and a black Nike mask. The second suspect is a man wearing a black Nike hoodie, black pants with a white logo on the left thigh and a black mask.


Both suspects are considered armed and dangerous.
Police said the suspects could be seen leaving the scene in an white Mercedes Benz ML 550 with tinted windows and damage near the rear window wiper. The pair were seen driving on Portsmouth Boulevard in the Truxton neighborhood.

Detectives also need help locating Chere Williams, 57, for questioning.
