PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Growing up, Chesapeake native, Xavier Stoney, felt his epilepsy made him “special in the worst way possible.” He struggled with the isolating and often times, debilitating condition, but found a healthy coping mechanism in athletics, specifically tennis. Now, he’s helping children and families thrive on and off the court through the non-profit he runs with his father.
