GATES COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) — A driver has died after colliding with two tractor-trailers early Wednesday morning.
According to officials, troopers were called to US-158, near Acorn Hill Road, just after 3 a.m. for the report of a crash. The driver of an SUV was traveling westbound when they shifted into the eastbound lane, sideswiping a tractor-trailer.
The driver then collided with a second tractor-trailer that was traveling behind the first one.
The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene.
