WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) — In Williamsburg, the city is gearing up for their 5th annual Community Appreciation Day celebration.

Community Appreciation Day is an annual event that celebrates the local Williamsburg community. It is hosted by the city’s three pillar institutions (The City of Williamsburg, Colonial Williamsburg and William & Mary) and includes lawn games, crafts, free Sno-to-Go and a live musical performance from the local William & Mary band, Corduroy Street, a release states.

Additionally, guests can create flower ornaments for a community art project. The ornaments are made out of translucent paper and are to be displayed in the Stryker Center’s windows in May, a release states.

The free event takes place on April 30 and is open to the public. It is located at the Community Building Lawn and held from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
