VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A multi-vehicle crash in Virginia Beach sent one person to the hospital on Sunday afternoon.

The Virginia Beach Fire Department, Virginia Beach Emergency Medical Services, Virginia Beach Rescue, and Virginia Beach Police Department responded to the 5300 block of Indian River Road at approximately 1:10 p.m. for a report of a multi-vehicle crash with an entrapment.

Crews arrived to find three vehicles involved in the accident with one on its side. There was not an entrapment.

One person was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.

The Virginia Beach Police Department is investigating the incident.
