PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Every year in March, Nexstar Media Group, Inc. celebrates Women’s History Month by highlighting Remarkable Women who have made a difference on public policy, social progress, and the quality of life in their communities.
The nationwide initiative includes participation across Nexstar’s more than 200 owned or partner stations in 116 U.S. markets. It has generated more than 46,000 nominations and showcased more than 2,200 women since its inception in 2020.
The Remarkable Women winner for 2025 in Hampton Roads is Stacie Walls. Stacie is the Chief Executive Officer of the LGBT Life Center. The mission of the LGBT Life Center is to strengthen the LGBTQ+ communities and all individuals living with HIV through improving health and wellness, supporting families and community, and providing transformative education and advocacy.
Stacie will join 124 other Remarkable Women from around the country later this month in Los Angeles, California and one woman will be chosen as the 2025 Remarkable Woman of the Year.
Nexstar has also further amplified the impact these changemakers create by donating more than $480,000 to the non-profits the Remarkable Women have chosen.
