The salty ocean air has moved into Hampton Roads and taken over with cool, cloudy and gloomy conditions. What’s a bummer, or what may make you salty about it, is that this set up takes time to clear, so we’ll be stuck in the clouds for most of Friday. But don’t fret, the weekend still looks nice and warm!

Track 1
Stubborn Love by The Lumineers
Clouds remain stubborn Friday with some lowered visibility and fog through the morning. Some drizzle or mist is even possible as temperatures hover around 50° for most of the day! This gloomy weather will prevail for most of the day, a few of us could see brighter conditions by days end, but I wouldn’t count on it!

Track 2
I Wanna Get Better by Bleachers
I want the weather to get better, too, especially for the weekend! Don’t worry, it will, but that transition will be a little slower. Stubborn clouds and fog linger Friday night and through Saturday morning. By mid or late morning Saturday, however, when the southerly breeze kicks in we’ll clear things out. The afternoon sun Saturday and the warm breeze will climb temperatures into the low 70s at least.

Track 3
People Watching by Sam Fender
Sunday will be another beautiful day, warmer with highs near 80°(!) but also windier. This is as we’ll be watching the western horizon for approaching showers and thunderstorms. A dynamic system will be taking shape throughout the day and should move into the region some time later Sunday evening. Strong to severe weather could be possible across town, so while it’ll be pleasant throughout the day (increasing clouds, warm, windy) we’ll have to watch for potential strong thunderstorms later on. Rain could linger through the night and into early Monday morning as well.

That salty ocean air will soon move out… just give it time!

Cheers -Steve
