VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – A man died following a crash involving an overturned vehicle on Interstate 64 on Feb. 16, 2025.

At approximately 9:17 a.m., Virginia State Police received reports of an overturned 2015 Honda CR-V at the Military Highway exit ramp, near mile marker 281.
Troopers arrived to find the vehicle partially submerged in water.
The driver, identified as 72-year-old Fidel Enerva Villaluna, was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Villaluna ran off the roadway, leading to the crash. Speed and alcohol are not believed to be contributing factors.
