NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — On paper, the girls basketball matchup between Hampton Roads Academy and Norfolk Christian figured to be a great one.

While Tuesday’s inclement weather postponed public high school basketball games around Hampton Roads, the two 17-2 private school programs battled, and while it was competitive at the start, it definitely didn’t end that way, as Ambassadors guard Keira Kilkenny lit up the scoreboard with 31 points in Norfolk Christian’s 81-58 win.

Kilkenny scored 24 of those 31 points on eight 3-pointers.
