SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Ducklings were rescued from a storm drain Friday morning thanks to the Suffolk Department of Fire & Rescue.

According to officials, crews received a call from a concerned citizen who said several ducklings had fallen into a storm drain and that the momma duck was walking around the drain in circles.

Crews from Ladder 11 arrived to the scene and were able to get the ducklings down to the next manhole cover, and were able to retrieve the ducklings using a net provided by animal control.
