HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Police need the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect after a man was stabbed Monday morning.
Shortly after 2:30 a.m., police responded to Riverside Regional Medical Center in reference to a stabbing victim.
The victim, a 37-year-old Newport News man, advised that he was inside the Catch and Release restaurant located in the 1st block of Towne Centre Way when the assault occurred.
After returning to his residence, the man realized he had been stabbed. The Newport News Fire and Rescue Department transported the victim from his home to the hospital for a non life-threatening injury.
The incident is under investigation.
