10 On Your Side ‘Feeding Hampton Roads’ Food Drive

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – With food supplies dwindling and local food banks bracing for a 30% jump in need for November, WAVY TV 10 is stepping up to help. The station On Your Side is proud to announce the Feeding Hampton Roads food collection event benefiting the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore, taking place on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Pembroke Square parking lot between Kohl’s and Walgreens.
This one-day event is part of our ongoing commitment to support families facing food insecurity across Hampton Roads. Community members are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to the drop-off location. Every donation, big or small, makes a meaningful difference.
In addition to food donations, WAVY News 10 will also be accepting monetary contributions through this secure link. These funds will go directly to the Foodbank to help purchase fresh produce, healthy items, and other essentials that are often in short supply.
“Our viewers consistently demonstrate a deep commitment to supporting their neighbors,”
said Carol Ward, Vice President and General Manager of WAVY-TV 10. “This initiative offers a
meaningful opportunity for us to unite and ensure that no one in our community faces
hunger.”
